To acquire a secondary education in Hungary, the student must have completed general school. Secondary education will help students to go for upper secondary level education. This is the basic educational requirement for Hungarian higher education, which includes the degree courses offered in colleges and universities.
Students who intend to enroll into a higher institution must first pass through secondary education, pass the entrance examination, and finally add up the result of the entrance examination to the secondary educational achievements.
Finally, the students can attend the 0-grade and be admitted one year later, based on their performance at this grade. To study a master’s degree in Hungarian, the students must have the same educational requirement.
