EMT Educational Requirements

If you want to become an EMT, you will be required to take three levels of training known as EMT-1 and EMT2/3. After completing these three levels, an extra 35-55 hours of clinical training and instruction will be required also. After completing these requirements, you will be given the certification exam.

Experts predict that the career openings for EMT’s will be one of the fastest growing professions out there, so a career as an EMT would be a good choice for future advancement. EMT’s can advance by adding specializations like Cardiac and shock trauma care to their studies.
