Corrections Officer Educational Requirements

If you are interested in becoming a corrections officer, you will be required to have a high school diploma or equivalent G.E.D. You must be at least 18-21 years of age .In addition to that, you must be able to pass a physical screening and a written exam.

If you are interested in becoming a corrections officer, you shouldn’t have any criminal offenses on your record and you should able to pass a drug screening. Careers the correction officer can pursue will lie in federal prisons, county jails, and in a penitentiary.
